Ten kitties are part of the airport's first ever “Kitten Cuddle.” It's in partnership with CMPD Animal Care & Control. The airport's initiative aims to spread adoption awareness.

CMPD Animal Care & Control currently has more than 250 cats and dogs awaiting adoption.

Two cats got adopted on the spot, including one from airport worker Lizabeth Brookhart.

"I came down this morning and I saw him and I haven't let him go,” she says.

She’s named her 3-month-old fur baby Otis in honor of her grandfather.

“It’s saving a life,” Brookhart said.

Adoption fees for felines are waived due to the high population.
