NORTH CAROLINA -- Brookstone has filed for bankruptcy.   

  • Store is closing remaining 101 mall stores
  • Closing stores in North Carolina are in Raleigh and Winston-Salem
  • Customers can still shop at the company's website  

The seller of massage chairs, travel luggage and quirky gadgets is also closing its remaining 101 mall stores.

The two remaining North Carolina locations to shut down are at Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh and Hanes Mall in Winston-Salem.

Brookstone says they are keeping their store at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, along with stores at 34 other airports, open. Customers can also still shop at the company's website.

The company got a $30 million loan to keep going while it searches for a buyer.
