CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Thousands of soccer fans are in uptown ready to cheer on countries from around the world.

Some bartenders claim this cup is a chance to bring the international stage to the city's front door.

"I think it's big for the relations between the world outside and with out idea of sports," said Trent Chantemerle from Unknown Brewing. "I think getting people from other areas to come in to our hometown and really show that we can party with the best."
