Rain chances will increase for the end of the weekend and start of the workweek.

The weather across central North Carolina was actually pretty nice on Saturday. We saw a lot of clouds but not a lot of rain and by the afternoon, we broke into some sun.

Through the night, we'll see some clouds and there is a chance for isolated showers and a few rumbles of thunder.

Sunday will start with a few clouds and maybe, a few showers. By Sunday afternoon, the chance for showers and isolated thunderstorms will increase.

The flow of moisture will increase across the region by Monday and Tuesday, and that will make for a better chance for showers and thunderstorms for the start of the workweek.

In the tropics, tropical storm formation is not expected for the next 3 to 5 days.
