They started in upstate South Carolina and cycled 600 miles over six days, ending in Pineville.

It's a ride that honors fallen first respondents.

This year's ride remembered 13 firefighters and four law enforcement officers, including Pineville firefighter Richard Sheltra and Sherrills Ford firefighter Bradley Long.

The event raised funds to provide financial and emotional support to the families left behind.

"Sometimes we're talking about the sole provider for the family that has lost their lives in the line of duty. So, now you're stuck and your family doesn't have anybody that's earning an income now, said Bill Suthard.

"You've also lost a very significant part of your family, you start to struggle and we roll in."

Before reaching Pineville, the Brotherhood Ride made a pit stop in York, South Carolina, to meet with the parents of detective Mike Doty.

He was shot and killed in the line of duty back in January.
