RALEIGH, N.C. -- Three people are without a home in northeast Raleigh after fire damaged a townhouse for the second time in a matter of days.

  • Fire tore through the home on Sunday and then again on Friday.
  • Sunday's fire was ruled an accident.
  • Mother and her two children are believed to have lived in the home.

The latest fire happened just after midnight Friday morning at the complex at the Villages of Wakefield on Hamlet Green Drive.

It took nearly 50 firefighters to get the fire under control.

No one was injured.

The cause of Friday's fire has not been determined at last check.

The same house caught fire early Sunday morning. That fire, which neighbors said wasn't as intense, was ruled accidental.

Neighbors say a mother and her two young children lived inside the home.
