While Tropical Storm Christ continues to spin off the North Carolina coast through Tuesday, we'll enjoy more rain-free days of sunshine and blue skies with a gradual warming trend through mid-week.

  • High pressure remains in control.
  • Should be a comfortable afternoon for July.
  • Tropical Storm Chris will have no effects here.

Monday will bring a day similar to Sunday. Expect plenty more sunshine and clear skies as high pressure remains over the area.

With winds out of the north today, dew points should remain in the low to mid 50s, making for a very comfortable afternoon.

Highs will be a bit warmer, but right around average, with temperatures expected to top off in the mid to upper 80s.

Tropical Storm Chris will have no impact on our weather, but will likely increase the rip current threat across the Carolina coast for the next few days.

Temperatures will continue to warm through Tuesday, but clear skies will stick around.

Some changes arrive Wednesday as a cold front passes through the region then stalls just to the south of us Thursday, allowing for slightly better chances for afternoon storms, especially across the High Country.
