But, don't bet the farm on big chances for showers and storms Saturday and Sunday. Our mountain counties will be in the better position for some pop up action each day; Piedmont zone, not so much. While not zero, the chances are limited and many of us will go without rain, yards and gardens continue suffering.
We should see a "more active" pattern unfold for Monday and Tuesday with cooler temps. Expect upper 80s for both Tuesday and Wednesday. Mid 90s will return later next week, minimal storm prospects as of today.
A friendly reminder about no drinking and boating on area lakes and rivers this weekend. Have a designated boat driver! I'd imagine that area lakes will be busy.
