CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Police are investigating a stabbing in uptown Charlotte.

They found a man with a stab wound and woman with lacerations to her face after responding to a call about an assault with a deadly weapon on North Smith and West Sixth streets.

Both were transported to Carolinas Medical Center Main. 

No one has been charged yet. It is unknown whether the man and woman knew each other.
