A "Bermuda high" pattern has taken shape. With high pressure offshore like that our flow will be from the southwest, driving more hot air into the area along with some humidity. Actual highs for Charlotte, the Piedmont and the Sandhills will be in the middle 90s through at least Wednesday. The humidity will make it feel like close to 100. Storm chances will increase by later Thursday as a cold front approaches. Highs will get knocked back a bit Friday and Saturday.
