CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It's all about the heat and humidity as we head through the weekend and most of next week.

  • Temperatures will generally land in the mid 90s
  • The mountains have a chance for rain
  • The heat index could easily hit 100-105 in the shade

Temperatures will generally land in the mid 90s with a few areas in the upper 90s next week. The heat index could easily hit 100-105 in the shade.

As of this posting, showers and storms will be in short supply. The mountains have the better chance for some daily activity.

Please monitor children, elderly, folks who are sick, people with no AC and pets during this stretch of difficult heat.  Hydration for both human and animal is paramount.  Shade for all, and frequent breaks in the AC if possible.
