ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. – An attempted burglary in Rowan County has ended in a crash.

  • Two men tried to break into a deputy's home in Landis.
  • They drove off in a stolen car when confronted.
  • The car ended up hitting a power pole on Cannon Bouelvard. 

According to the Rowan County Sheriff's Office, it all started when two men tried to break into a Rowan County deputy's home in Landis.

The deputy confronted Donovan Dockery and Jordan Albright, who drove off in a stolen car.

Officials say the suspects sped down South Cannon Boulevard when they turned around in the median, started driving on the wrong side of the road and lost control, hitting a power pole.

Both Dockery adn Albright have been charged with resisting arrest and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Dockery was also identified as the driver of the vehicle and is being held under a $25,000 secured bond.
