DURHAM, N.C. -- Former Vice President Joe Biden brings his 30 city tour to Durham Wednesday.

Biden "American Promise Tour” takes place at 7:30 p.m. at the Durham Performing Arts Center.

He kicked off the tour late last year in New York City to support his book "Promise Me Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship and Purpose."           

The book chronicles his son Beau's fatal battle with brain cancer as Biden pondered whether to run for the presidency.
