CONCORD, N.C. -- Officials with the City of Concord became heroes to a young doe this week.
- Deer rescued from storm drain.

The city's Rescue 3 unit saved the deer after it wound up in a neighborhood storm drain.
According to Public Safety, the deer appears to have crawled through a culvert and got stuck.

The rescue team was able to apply technical rescue training and return the deer to her natural habitat with only minor cuts and injuries.
