CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Slow moving low pressure will impact our region through late week and early into the weekend. Daily showers and storms will be possible through Saturday.

  • Showers and storms Saturday
  • Possible flooding in mountains and foothills
  • Dry up Sunday

A few cells Thursday could pack a punch with a stationary boundary in the area and low pressure moving along that boundary.

Additional heavy rainfall could lead to flooding in the mountains and out across the foothills. It will be important for folks to monitor creeks and streams that are prone to flooding in those areas.

The All Star Race might eek out a run later Saturday.  Sunday's forecast has great improved, and it appears, the Piedmont may be dry for the better part of the day.  Mountains will be more like to some scattered shower and storm development.
