WAKE COUNTY, N.C. -- Two state troopers and a Wake County deputy were indicted Tuesday in the beating of a Raleigh homeless man.

• Three law enforcement officers indicted.
• Kyron Hinton alleges he was beaten.
• Officers charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Court documents show Troopers Michal Blake and Tabitha David and Deputy Cameron Broadwell now face charges for assault with a deadly weapon.

They are also charged with willfully failing to discharge duties.

Kyron Hinton, 29, accused the department of assault in April. 

Hinton says he was walking in north Raleigh when he was attacked by the officers, including a K-9 unit.

Hinton was originally charged with resisting a public officer and disorderly conduct. Those charges were dropped last week.

Hinton was hospitalized as a result of his injuries.
