CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Our fourth day of mid to lower 90s played out Monday.  Mercifully, it was the last day of 90+ degrees for the region.

  • Lower temperatures for Tuesday
  • More clouds with chance of rain as week continues
  • Many areas could see at least two inches of rain

A big pattern change kicks into gear as Tuesday unfolds and it will keep our temperatures in the mind 80s for the rest of the week and the weekend.

A broad upper level, and slow moving, low will be the dominant player in the overall forecast set up through the weekend.

More clouds, with a daily chance for showers and thunderstorms will be in the mix. Many areas could see at least two inches of rain by late Saturday night and Sunday. Keep the umbrellas handy, at some point, you'll need them.
