CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A new dating app launching this week matches singles with each other and with local businesses.

  • App chooses where your first date will be
  • Only available in Charlotte right now
  • Offers advertisers 100 percent return on investment, founder says

Instimate, released on IOS in Charlotte, prioritizes preferences for who you want to date, along with what you want the first date to be. Then, when the app matches users, it schedules their first date.

Instimate CEO & founder Sterling Scott says because the app chooses where the first date will be, it can offer advertisers 100 percent return on investment.

“So if [advertisers are] paying $2 for someone to interact with them, they're paying $2 for someone to come sit at their restaurant,” Scott said. “Not look at an ad or click their website.”

Instimate will roll out nation-wide later this year.
