CHARLOTTE -- The American Lung Association is giving North Carolina mixed grades for air pollution.

The group’s 19th annual report ranks cities on ozone and particle pollution.

Charlotte is the 41st most polluted city in the nation for ozone.

However, Fayetteville, Greenville and Wilmington experienced zero unhealthy air days and are among the cleanest cities for ozone pollution.

Wilmington is the only city in the state on the cleanest cities list for year-round particle pollution.
