CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Customers at Old Hickory Station in Catawba County were scared to death Friday night when a potentially dangerous situation arose after a woman started yelling at a man sitting at the bar.

“I looked over and she had an object in her hand,” stated Sharon Kine, a witness to the incident. “It looked like a machete but it was an 18-inch, I guess pizza knife, that she had retrieved from the kitchen area.”

Management says the woman came through a back door.

According to witnesses, the woman began screaming obscenities and waving around the knife, demanding that everybody leave the restaurant.

As customers fled the restaurant, they claimed to see others attempting to restrain the woman.

While she eventually ran off, highway patrol eventually found her the next day driving nearly 100mph on Interstate 40. She was arrested for drunk driving and attacking an officer.
