BAHAMA, N.C. -- The toddler found unresponsive in a Durham County creek has died. 

Witnesses from the scene Monday indicated that the child was found unresponsive in a body of water. They say she wandered off while following her dog.

The toddler was reported missing at a nearby address earlier in the day.

Authorities executed a search warrant at a property in the 9700 block of Rougemont Road Monday evening. Evidence was taken from that scene and is being analyzed.

No charges have been filed. 

The incident remains under investigation.
