KANNAPOLIS, N.C. -- As the Kannapolis Intimidators gear up for their season to start this Thursday, they are planning on doing less intimidating and more welcoming this year in Cam's Clubhouse.

After President Brian Radle’s own son was diagnosed with autism last year, he worked with Atrium Health and the Autism Society of North Carolina to make a special sensory room for kids with special needs at the ball park.

The Intimidators’ staff said they hope to add to the family-friendly atmosphere, and bring even more fans to the games.

“I loved seeing how the staff embraced this whole project,” said Radle. “And knowing that we could be the first team in minor league baseball to do something like this and impact so many people here in the community that we operate in.”

Starting Thursday, all four games this weekend will be free for all kids with special needs. All parents need to do is use the secret password, 'Cam's Clubhouse' to get their child in for free.
