CHARLOTTE -- The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is warning residents about at least two cases in which a man approached children at a school bus stop in the 4200 block of Hammett Street.

Two boys say a man pulled up to them on Friday in a white van and offered them money.

Police say a man with a similar description did the same thing to other children in the area on Saturday.

Officers have added extra patrols in the neighborhood.

Police are asking parents to remind their children never to accept offers from strangers or ride with them.
