DALLAS, N.C. – A Gaston County inmate is back in custody after authorities say he escaped Thursday night.

A release from officials say Thomas Walker turned himself in Friday night just before 9:30 p.m.

The 41-year-old has been serving a sentence for larceny since August 2014 and was scheduled to be released in June. He is set to face additional charges and was moved to a higher custody facility since returning.
