GARNER -- Garner Police are investigating what they call a unique case of stolen identity.

Authorities say last week a victim's identity was used to create a fake Verizon account.

A phone was sent to the victim's address and the suspect intercepted the package from the delivery person at the victim's home.

Authorities suggest checking all of your accounts every day to make sure money is not missing or an order notification wasn't fraudulently made in your name.

"I check my bank accounts everyday," said Capt. Joe Binns with the Garner Police Department. "I check them all the time to make sure there is no money coming out of there that you're not sure where it's going to."

Police say the suspects are two men in their twenties.

Police are looking for a white Mitsubishi with a dent on the left side.

If you have any information about this incident, please call the Garner Police Department.
