Heck of a mountain snow from Wednesday mornings event.  I've seen reports of 5 inches to 12 inches of snow around the Boone region. Outside of the mountains, moisture did indeed break containment and we have a brief burst of snow race across a slim avenue of the Piedmont.

March, go figure!

High pressure is taking hold and we have one cold night ahead as temps will plummet down into the mid 20s for the Charlotte region; mid 20s for the mountains as well.

We'll have a brilliant rebound with our temps Thursday.  We'll go from the morning lows of the mid to 20s, to daytime highs in the mid to lower 60s. Mountain counties should see highs in the mid 40s.

The warming trend continues on Friday with highs near 70 possible.
