Upper level low continues working East and off the Carolina Coast. Between that upper level system and the surface features, the New England region expected to get slammed by another big Winter storm.

Unlike last year's March 12 snow, this one was limited to snowy accumulations up near the I-40 zone, foothills and Mountain counties. Many mountain counties had 5 inches of snow, with higher amounts at higher elevations. Iredell County had its hands full around Statesville causing a number of Monday morning accidents.

Clearing skies tonight outside of the mountains. Areas that have wet roads, will likely develop black ice overnight. So, heads up for the morning commute Tuesday.

Mountain counties may see another 1-2 inches of snow overnight as the NW flow sets up.

Next round of rain appears to play out late Friday night and early Saturday morning.
