RALEIGH -- A man who was arrested outside of an LGBT-inclusive bar after causing a disruption Monday was found to have been illegally in possession of a gun.
According to a post by Ruby Deluxe, Grayson Wade Pittman attempted to gain entry to their club on Monday evening and, when he was denied, resorted to using "anti-queer" obscenities at the staff.
Raleigh Police confirmed Wednesday evening that Pittman displayed a gun during the argument, and when he was arrested he was found to also be in posession of a taser and a fixed-blade knife.
Pittman was arrested shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday and charged with disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon.
Pittman appologized on the bar's Facebook page Wednesday saying, "I apologize to Ruby’s and the staff for my actions and choice of words .. I made a mistake and very poor judgment.. the guy next to the door guy as I was leaving was threatening my life after I made some rude comments which is why things got out of hand .. no excuses what I did was wrong and I apologize!"
