INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. -- A Union County bus driver is accused of posting threatening messages aimed at Porter Ridge Middle School.

32-year-old Lashauna Beachum was arrested Sunday. She faces two felony charges of making false reports concerning mass violence on educational property.

The sheriff's office says posts made Friday morning on the "What's Up Indian Trail" Facebook page, mentioned several members of school staff as well as "immigrants" living in suburban estates.

Officers several people in the community reported the incident to their department and to Union County Public Schools.

“The safety of our kids and schools is one of our highest priorities.  Any comment, rumor or social media post mentioning violence on school property is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. I really appreciate all the hard work that the detectives, deputies and school officials put into this case to get it resolved,” Sheriff Eddie Cathey said.
