CHARLOTTE -- A man driving a smart car died early Saturday when he crashed into a tree.
CMPD says 27 year old Brion Reed was speeding when he ran off a curve on Central Avenue.
He crossed oncoming lanes and hit that tree at about 2:30 a.m.
Police say alcohol and speed contributed to the crash.
