FORT BRAGG -- Members of the 82nd Airborne Division got to bring their wives to work Thursday.

It was all part of their cavalry unit's first-ever 'All-American Spouse Spur Ride', and event that gives spouses the chance to learn the ways of being a paratrooper.

These ladies got to complete some of the same exercises as their husbands, including physical and medical training.

"Our husbands are coming home late and working really hard," said Army spouse, Brittany McNeal. "This just gives us the smallest sample of what they actually do day-to-day. I have more respect and love for my husband because of that."

"She really surprised me," said CPT Alonzo McNeal. "She's come out here and she's in her full garb. I think she's a paratrooper!"

The 82nd Airborne Division Calvary Units plan on making this an annual event on Fort Bragg.
