GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The nephew of American Idol winner Fantasia was found shot to death in Greensboro Tuesday.

Police found 18-year-old Tyquan Washington shot to death on Hyde Street in the morning.

Police say they found him in the road suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He later died as Moses Cone Hospital. 

Twenty-one-year-old David White has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Washington. Police say the two had been arguing and that's when White robbed Washington and shot him to death. 

White has been charged with first degree murder and is being held in the Guilford Co. Jail without bond. 

Police say the preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting followed a dispute between the two, but the reason is still unclear. 

Fantasia posted to Facebook Tuesday evening, expressing her sorrow.
