Investigators were called out to the home on Belvedere Drive in Claremont after receiving reports of drug traffic at the home.

The homeowner initially allowed officials to search the home but revoked their consent after investigators found three pounds of marijuana.

After securing a search warrant, investigators found 62 more pounds of marijuana valued at over $100,000.

Hickory police say the employee who lives at the home is not facing charges at this time and is no longer employed by the department.

An internal investigation is being conducted per department policy.
