The impressive winter storm is long gone, but ice may remain an issue tonight in many areas.

Secondary roads and neighborhoods will have the most ice overnight and early Friday morning. Main roads and interstates are expected to be in good shape but, as always, drive with extra caution tonight and Friday morning.

High pressure will hold court and plenty of sunshine and warming temps will allow the melting to continue over the next day. Many Piedmont towns will be in the mid 50s by Saturday and upper 50s to lower 60s by Sunday.

Our mountain viewers will find temps in the upper 40s Saturday and mid 50s by Sunday with rain returning to the forecast late Monday night.

The good people at the North Carolina Climate Office have done an excellent review of snow totals across our state. Take a gander at the graphic!
