CHARLOTTE -- Two men opened fire on three people in a car in Charlotte's Ballantyne area, and also managed to get shot themselves.

Police say three young men were sitting in a car on Kingston Place Drive just before 6 Friday evening when John Butler and Frankie Jennings opened fire on them.

Two of the teens were hit. They're expected to be okay.

Police say Butler was shot during a struggle over a gun and Jennings accidentally shot himself.

Once they're released from the hospital, the suspects will face multiple charges including assault with a deadly weapon.
