CHARLOTTE -- Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have charged four suspects on the campus of Coulwood Middle School for their involvement in a disturbance.
Authorities received a call regarding an adult female armed with a knife on the campus Friday morning.
They said that a mother of a 13-year-old male student followed her son’s bus to the campus due to what she believed to be a bullying incident involving two other 13-year-old male students against her son.
When she arrived, the mother identified the students she believed to be bullies to school staff and became verbally irate.
One of the 13-year-old males she identified then physically assaulted her.
The mother then pulled a knife and began flailing through the air with it after the two 13-year-old males she identified. CMS staff was able to gain control of the mother and she put the knife back into her vehicle before a school resource officer arrived.
No injuries were reported.
