SAN ANTONIO -- In a special ceremony, Mission Trail Baptist Hospital honored the lives of former patients.

Each ornament placed on the hospital's Christmas tree represented someone who passed away this year. The hospital hosts the annual service to help families cope with grief over the holidays.

"Let me say right up front there is no right or wrong way to face this season. Each of us must decide what activities will address the feeling we have at this time of year,” said Chaplain Katie Ivey, with Mission Trail Baptist Hospital.

The hospital recommends creating new family traditions as one of many ways to help cope with grief over the holidays.
