Moderate drought has expanded in our area. Areas south of the I-85 zone are in "moderate drought". Other areas are "abnormaly dry"

A cold front will move through the region tonight. Some patchy rain possible, but I wouldn't be the farm on seeing much of any helpful precipitation.

The weekend trends look dry. Saturday, will have some increased cloud cover South of the I-40 zone for a few hours.  Areas north of I-40 will likely enjoy a bit more sunshine.

Hurricane season ended Thursday. Seventeen named storms, 10 of which became hurricanes, 6 were major hurricanes (Cat 3+) and an estimated $202.6 billion dollars of damage caused. Harvey, Irma and Maria did the most damage of any of the storms. Hurricane season returns June 1, 2018 in the Atlantic.
