RIGA, N.Y. -- One person is dead after a one-car crash Tuesday evening in Riga. 

Emergency crews responded at approximately 6 p.m. to an accident near Johnson Rd. and Bovee Rd. Police say the male victim's car went off the road and struck a tree. He died at the scene. 

The cause of the crash in under investigation.
