NORTH CAROLINA -- A number of weather systems will keep the pattern unsettled for the first part of the week.

Rain chance will ramp up tonight and through the day Tuesday from the mountains and across the Triad zones.

A number of thunderstorms will be possible Tuesday afternoon and evening. Severe storms are not anticipated at this time; we'll be tracking.

Cold air should begin arriving Wednesday. Gone will be the unseasonal warmth of the last few weeks.  Triad and Charlotte zones will feel the mid to lower 50s for highs, with mid to lower 40s across the mountains.  Overnight lows will take a turn towards the mid to lower 30s, Piedmont, and mid to upper 20s for the mountains by the weekend.
