APEX, N.C. -- Many have been attracted to Oscar William's Gourmet Cotton Candy company due to their organic, gluten-free, allergen-free, and kosher options.

But lately the Triangle-based company has gained national fame for a somewhat "sweeter" reason; their commitment to funding HIV/AIDS prevention.

A percentage of the company's proceeds go to PASTD, "Partners Against Sexually Transmitted Diseases."

The have reportedly raised about $10,000 a year to the cause.

This partnership has attracted national attention, landing the company in outlets such as Forbes, CNN, and Southern Living.

The company, founded in 2013, is named in rememberence of the founder's uncle.

Their commitment to HIV/AIDS education and prevention comes from losing several loved ones to the disease.
