It will feel like September this afternoon with plenty of warm air in the forecast. However, there are big changes coming our way to start your workweek as a strong cold front is approaching from the Midwest. Look for periods of rain, heavy at times within thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon and evening. Some of the thunderstorms could be severe with damaging wind and isolated, brief tornadoes possible. The highest rainfall amounts will be in the upslope areas of the mountains. The Charlotte metro area will see more than one inch of rain tomorrow. Once the rain and wind end early on Tuesday we will see much cooler air work its way in from the northwest. It will finally feel like fall again.
