After another chilly start to our day for Thursday, highs will warm into the low and mid 70s for much of the piedmont this afternoon. Mountain highs will likely be in the upper 60s -- all under a sunny sky.

The slow warming trend will continue through Friday and into the weekend with a dry forecast holding on through the weekend as well.

Our next storm system will then arrive early in the week. There remains some timing differences among the various computer models, but for the time being, I will highlight good chance for some rain and embedded storms Monday into early Tuesday.

Following that system, I still expect a shot of the coldest air thus far this season to arrive Wednesday through Friday next week.
