Frost advisory in effect for parts of NC Wednesday morning.

Cool and dry high pressure will settle over Central North Carolina tonight and that means we are expecting chilly temperatures. In fact, a frost advisory has been posted for most areas west of I-85 through mid-morning Wednesday. Temperatures will likely fall into the middle 30s to near 40, especially in rural areas. Now, although frost will likely remain patchy and more concentrated in those areas that tend to be a few degrees colder, it's still a good idea to protect plants that are sensitive to the cold just to be on the safe side.

Patchy frost aside, we have a fabulous remainder of the week and weekend forecast for the Carolinas. The same area of high pressure is expected to remain in place through early next week. That means you can expected beautiful blues skies and pleasant daytimes highs for at least the next five days!
