CHARLOTTE – Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for help solving the shooting death of 26-year-old Ketie Jones.

She was killed over a year ago while walking home in Plaza Midwood.

On Monday, police said they have followed up on all of the tips, leads and evidence but need someone to come forward with new information.

“Most of the cases we clear, we clear because people give us information,” said Deputy Chief Jeff Estes. “That’s why we are asking for people who know something to come forward and say something.”

In all, police are investigating 18 unsolved murders from last year and 28 from this year.

Anyone with information on any of them is asked to call 704-334-1600.
