GREENSBORO, N.C. -- President Donald Trump made his first appearance in North Carolina since taking office Saturday.

The president attended a private fundraiser in Greensboro at the home of Louis DeJoy and his wife, Aldona Wos.

The prominent Republican supporters have contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to  campaign and inauguration committees and even hosted former President George W. Bush for similar fundraising events in the past.

Dejoy gave more than $100,000 to the Trump Victory Fund, over $200,000 to the Republican National Committee and another $100,000 to the inauguration committee.

The president flew into PTI Airport around 6:30 p.m. for a round table and dinner with donors.

Members of his administration and members of Congress were also in attendance.

Guilford County Sheriff B.J. Barnes along with Congressmen Ted Budd and Mark Walker were also in attendance.
