CHARLOTTE -- Jury selection is underway in the trial of Edward Sanchez.

The Charlotte man is charged with killing four people in the matter of days in 2015.

One of the victims was an East Mecklenburg High School graduate who was a contestant on the reality show "America's Next Top Model."

Sanchez faces four counts of first degree murder in connection to the killings.

Prosecutors say Sanchez and his accomplice, Emmanuel Rangel, robbed, shot and killed Rasool Harrell at a motel in Matthews in February 2015.

Another man survived, but is now living in a wheelchair.

Two days later the pair along with Emily Isaacs and David Lopez was accused of killing three people at a home on Norris Avenue.

Former "America's Next Top Model" contestant Mirjana Puhar, Jonathan Alvarado and Jusmar Gonzaga-Garcia died in the north Charlotte shooting.

Prosecutors say the first witnesses of the trial will be the parents of the four victims who will talk about their children and how their loss has impacted them.
