ABERDEENSHIRE, Scotland — BrewDog, a Scottish brew company, soon-expanding to Columbus, Ohio, is now offering staff members with new dogs a week of “Puppy Parental Leave.”

Headquartered in Aberdeenshire, the company has 50 office dogs it considers part of its crew.

Founders James Watt and Martin Dickie, who started the company with their dog Bracken in 2007, say they were eager to give workers enough time to bond with their new pets and not worry about their work suffering.

Columbus will be the brewery’s first American base which opens on Feb. 20.

Dogs in the office is becoming increasingly more popular. Google and Amazon are among some of the bigger companies that allow employees to bring animals to work.
