ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Front runner for the Republican presidential nomination Donald Trump held a rally in Rock Hill on Friday night.
Thousands gathered at Winthrop Coliseum at Winthrop University to hear Trump speak.
The GOP front runner says he wants to make America great again.
"The problem we have is that leaders don't know what the hell they're doing. They don't know what they're doing," said Trump.
Supporters stood in line for hours Friday to get into the event, but thought seeing Trump would be worth the wait.
"Oh I just want to hear the man speak and be in his presence. I'm absolutely sure he's going to be the next president of the United States," said Bill Mitchell of Charlotte.
Not everyone in the audience was sold on Trump. Four protesters were thrown out during the event for interrupting Trump's speech.
The crowd drowned out their chants with cheers for Trump.
Political experts say Trump is ahead in South Carolina by almost nine percentage points. But that doesn't mean he has the nomination in the bag.
"The people who are true Trump supporters are really die hard, but the question is, are they the kind of people to continue to support him if he loses in Iowa and New Hampshire? Some of these folks don't typically participate in primary politics," said Dr. Scott Huffmon.
It means Trump needs to keep firing up the crowd to make sure they actually go out and cast a ballot for him in the primary.
"Last time we should have won, we should have won. But people didn't get out, you have to, by the way, just in case we forget, you have to get out and vote. You got to do it," said Trump.
