MATTHEWS-- Several people in a Matthews apartment complex may have come in contact with a rabid fox.
The Matthews Police department said they received a call around noon Thursday of an animal acting aggressively outside the Paces Commons Apartments.
They found a fox in the parking lot with signs of being infected with rabies.
Officials put down the animal which reportedly scratched four people and bit a dog.
